That happened to me the other day too.. You didn't have to go up to Glasgow too did you?? I did. Didn't get the ******* thing, total waste of a day and money.

I do this all the time. When I have free time to kill and no work I just schedule an interview with some mug, I make him come all the way first thing in the morning, make him sit in the lobby for an hour and then grill his head out with obscure C# questions. I never hear from them again.

It happened to me a few times in 2012Q1. Now I always ask for a phone interview in the first instance even if contract is local. If I do not hear from them again, I assume that they just wanted to pull that with me.

Usually when there is a real job the hiring manager wants to phone first to avoid time wasters.

Btw: One time I was called very far for a pointless interview with tiny guy clearly without enough experience for the role he was supposedly put in. He just put up linked in picture, where he looks good 15 inches taller and not like himself at all.
