I work from home, you won't find me at my 'work address'. Too bad actually, would have been an amusing sight.

There are enough men in cheap nylon suits with armpit stains and chest hair poking out of their collars in any office environment. Your proposal would be no worse, it would just be more entertaining.

My refusal to stick myself into a business suit of any sort for anything other than an interview hasn't harmed my credibility so far. Though, as I said, I err on the side of casual - the non skin-tight variety.

We weren't talking about poor hygiene or style we were talking about dressing professionally, all I did was draw a parallel with female dress patterns deemed acceptable and a male dressing in a similar way. As you say it could be an 'amusing' sight, if it were Daniel Craig or Brad Pitt you might see it as alluring. neither could be considered as professional.

Dress casually by all means but put the bits away at work please.

My point was that you can look unprofessional whatever you're wearing. Just because it's within the dress-code, doesn't mean it's any good. Women in the right shape can look remarkably professional in skintight miniskirts and low-cut blouses, particularly if they pair it with a professional manner. Most of them of course just look a bit daft and/or just horrendous. That's not going to help them along in their career, but who am I to tell them not to shoot themselves in the foot.

And I don't think of nicely dressed, decent looking males as immediately alluring or something to perv over. I'm not that simple, most women aren't. That 'argument' doesn't fare to well in a gender swap. If it worked a lot of men would be constantly pulling that trick at the risk of getting a bit of a telling off about their office attire.
