They're stunning aren't they. Out here, you see lots of Birds of Prey, much more than when I was a lad, and farmers are starting to call them pests for some reason.

Sounds nerdy, but we keep a camera and binoculars ready all the time when I am working from home. Spotted a beautiful woodpecker yesterday as well.

I've seen very few woodpeckers, but heard a lot.

We now have a woodpecker that comes along & eats the peanuts out of the feeder.

      Just like these:

      And not to mention

Nuthatches aren't that common, and to get the woodpeckers so close is really good going.

        That's cracking.

I live in the countryside outside of Winchester. We get the red-headed and the green woodpeckers - the green ones are stunning.

I've not seen any birds of prey actually in the garden (we get loads of Corvids, Jays, T*ts etc) but at the lake at the back of our house we get flocks of buzzards at high altitude during the summer. Never seen one low or up close.

            They're lovely little birds.

We get a lot of wagtails, finches, coal/blue tits on ours, nothing much larger. Never seen those fellas before, must admit.

They travel around in a little flock of 8 or 10.

make I smile everytime they come visiting.

My brother has those in his garden. They form an orderly queue along his shed roof to use the peanut holder.

                    Are they coal t*ts?
