Looking now but 3.5K on a holiday is not something I'm prepared to stretch to.

What time of year? And when you say hot, how hot?

I would have guessed 2k is quite achievable, maybe even 1k, depending how long you go for. And how much flights for kids cost - not something I've ever had to factor in.
