Agreed, NHM and SM are for kids. BM is far better and the VA is great too. Also consider the National Gallery.Originally posted by eek View PostPersonally if its school holidays both museums will be overcrowded nightmares.
I would head to the V&A or the British Museum. In the case of the latter is great to see what you can steal from other countries when you are the leading nation as museums first appeared. But I discovered nothing else but depraved, excessive superstition. Pliny the youngerComment

Haven't been to the Natural History Museum since I was little. If we have time to kill, MrsF and I normally head to the Science Museum.Originally posted by chef View PostI'm taking a trip to London on 27th Dec with Gf chef and seeing as I've never been would like to visit either the Natural History Museum or the Science Museum.
As I'll only have enough time for one museum, which would you say is better/worth the visit ?
There's plenty at the Science Museum to feed my autism for a while.Comment

We went in Feb to the History museum ad the kids enjoyed it but it was busy.
I think next year we will go to the science one.
It did seem a long way out of "town" but it was a chance to give the kids a rest on the tube.Comment

You should try the surgery museum by Lincoln's inn fields. Though its got better since they removed the baby born with 2 heads - one on top of the other.....Originally posted by mudskipper View PostThat makes me feel a bit sick.Comment
