AIX/pSeries Technical Analyst/Systems Administrator with 2+ years high-end AIX, HACCMP, PLAR and ESS SAN experience sought by a major Blue Chip to be based out of either Manchester or West Yorkshire. Responsibilities will include UNIX maintenance and support; participation in end-to-end design; build and implementation and QA.
We are looking to recruit a number of experienced hires on a contract basis with skills as follows:
* AIX Systems Administration field experience
* Power5/6 VIO server, micro partitioning and dual VIOS configuration
* P-Series Power4 & Power5, power 6, Power 7 hardware
* Power4 & Power5, power 6, Power 7 HMC's, CuOD and DLPAR configurations
* CSM/NIM
* LPAR installation, configuration and support
* AIX 5.2 & AIX 5.3, Aix 6.X and AIX 7.X installation, configuration and migration
* HACMP 5.X, 6.X and 7.X installation, configuration and migration
* Shell Scripting
* ESS SAN storage, configuring and supporting (using 2105 compatible multi-path drivers) LUN's within volume groups and in highly available configurations
* SVC Storage, configuring and supporting (using 2145 compatible multi-path drivers) LUN's within volume groups and in highly available configurations
* Excellent Oral and Written Communication

What's their gain tho? To push ICT's or to get the odd chancer willing to take 180/day for a 450/day role and they take a huge margin?
The ICT route will close anyway, I'm sure of that - even now it does not lead to PR.

I would imagine that this is the case and that they supply to Indian "offshore" companies, though I think you are being a little optimistic if you think the ICT system will change.
