I think at the very least some of his fingers had to be amputated on account of circulation loss leading to necrosis.
I seem to think it was more serious than that. Didn't it affect 6 people all who's toes and fingers/hands shirveled up and had to be amputated. I also seem to think it was because the dosage was far too high. Can't remember if that was by design or delivery mistake. Can't find the link to it.

    EDIT : Found it

Oh - On reading the article, I guess flu camp would be only of academic interest to most CUKkers, certainly for me

Due to the nature of the virus, applicants must be aged between 18 and 45 and be alcohol-, drug- and cigarette-free.

The company lures volunteers with payments of "up to £3,750" for trials that last between 10 and 18 days. Applicants are promised "a very comfortable room, sharing with only one other volunteer; an en suite bathroom; wireless internet access; three meals a day; TV and Playstation!"
I can earn more than that not having flu. The only way this makes sense is if you can arrange working from home for the duration and keep on billing.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Is it worth £3750 for flu? Or £10000 to have a toe amputated and re-attached?
Flu - If we're talking 2 weeks laid up, letting my liver recuperate, turning my sleep deficit into a surplus, detoxing my system (all excellent preparation for Christmas party season), letting my neighbour (who is besotted with me) wipe my fevered brow and bring me meals, and running a calorific deficit, effortlessly shrinking my rather generous gut down 2 or three sizes, then yes.

Did I mention I'm a permie and thus will be on full salary?

Piggie-go-walkies-then-come-back - just let me do a few hundred calf-raises to keep the muscles strong whilst I'm laid up you can remove/reattach my littlest one. As above, I'll be paid and could do with a few days off my feet, so it all works out well.
