I find the crowd at Manchester really helpful.

Crowd at Dublin.... not so much Went home for a weekend on my own when Jnr was 3 mths ish. They were fecking useless, made the whole thing really stressful.

But then - a lot probably depends on the individuals who are on that particular shift. Like everything else in this world there are nice people and there are assholes. Incog is right, they have to deal with the dregs of society a lot of the time and are probably very jaded with the whole thing.

Maybe leave the old man behind next time?

Nothing surpasses the general all round rudeness and general unpleasantness of your average US Immigration officer.

yeah I get that but as incognito says it isn't a new thing, its been around for 6 years. It's printed on the boarding passes, it's on the webpages you should read before printing your boarding passes. It's explained at baggage drop, in the queue and when you get to the poor sod who has to dig out said half bottle of shampoo after all that.

Schipol is great, organised and pretty stress free.

Luton airport is a mare as the majority of the time they have feck and all security gates open.

City has been fine so far, though some of the staff can be a tad surly at times.

But as people say, get your stuff ready in advance and be polite and it should be fine.

The problem is that the Met Office is politicised. They are loathed to forecast weather that goes against disproving global warming.

Maybe you could get a job at airport info, answering passengers queries about what they can or cannot bring on.
