Netflix vs. Sky - what do you watch?

I got Netflix UK and all the Sky Movies (not Sky Atlantic though) via the Virgin cable package.

I would say that the ability to just browse movies quickly and stream to Xbox 360 or PC is great, although the selection of Netflix movies is somewhat lacking compared to the US Netflix. Having said that there are some very interesting documentaries and films that you may have 'missed on Netflix' eg The King of Kong, The Seventh Seal, Project Nim, The Corporation and Donnie Darko Part 2.

Sky movies on the other hand on Virgin is sort of ok if you've not been to the cinema regularly in the last 9-12 months and sometimes they put some good movies on their Sky Indie channel, Sky Atlantic is the daddy though with titles such as Game of Thrones and BoardWalk Empire which are must see tv shows.

However, Breaking Bad and also The Walking Dead are very entertainment tv programmes but I don't think they're on Sky (I may be totally wrong about this - I probably am).

You can set your Netflix to point at US servers (DNS change - Google it) - there's a lot more content.

When you say 'Season 5' kicks off, what do you mean exactly ?

Season 5 is split in to two parts of eight episodes each. First eight were shown in the states, finishing a few weeks back. I thought the second half wasn't until next year.
