Arrested for what? Jimmy Saville is being accused of being a pedophile. The very definition relates to pre-pubescent children <11. Of the 300 odd cases we here it's all >13/14. Mostly around the 15/16 range.

He's more classified as a ephebobphile / teleiophiles which relate to 15/16/17 age range, any younger (pubescent, then hebephiliac).

Men are biologically attraced to younger women, it's a natural reaction. A guy cannot help but look at a shapely body walking down the road. Society places an age of 16 based on the definition of a 'child' for legal purposes but like homosexuality you have a genetic prediliction for it.

very tough to comment in this without looking dodgy but I know plenty of 15/16 year old girls who have told me they are sexually active ( I Have no first hand experience of this okay so stop it!) and who regulalry drink in the local and look 18-21

until i knew the age of them I would have said they were of an age where it would have been acceptable.

Also seriously how could anyone get away with so much for so long - not saying he is not guilty but are we not talking more casting couch/abuse of position and being a smooth talker rather than holding them down and forcing himself up on them - not saying it is acceptable either way just saying loike.

I think most people get started around 15 actually.

Can't help thinking this is all getting a bit silly now, and possibly even counterproductive.

After all if they out too many people, won't it simply indicate how much more common kiddy fiddling is than most people like to think? That will actually be reassuring and even encouraging for present day paedos.

Yes, it's a danger. An ex-girlfriend once told me that it is probably a lot more common than most folks think, starting with more than one uncle or family friend who got her to sit on their knees.

Years ago, before gay liberation and so on, one argument gays would often recite to each other, and anyone else who would listen, was how many famous people past and present were gay.

as mich has said most get active by 15, but not with men old enough to be their fathers.

this for me, is a terrible abuse of trust, if of course it happened, and it looks increasing more likely. Preying on children, and vulnerable children is just not on.
