You take a mick but read the post. You say you are a novice:

I was in the same boat a couple of years ago. Maths ability does seem to be innate - if you got an A in A-level maths (especially before the education reforms) you probably will have some ability, but you do get slower as you get older - those "ah-ha" moments take longer but are just as rewarding, so give yourself more time
In my case had to go back to revise calculus, matrix theory, differential equations - I enjoyed it quite a bit in the end

I was waiting on my MOT today whilst forced to listen to the Jeremy Bile show in the waiting area. It made me wish that my car would fail just so I could leave early. Whilst this thread makes Big Brother look like high culture, it is at least infinitely more bearable than listening to that twunt Jeremy Kyle and his 'guests' (whom I could only hear but not see from my vantage point Right Beneath The Television, but I imagined to be wearing shell suits and hooped earrings all round).

2 years before that (that would be 2005/6) I was revising maths that I had studied in my Engineering degree. I went on to start an MSc which I am now completing.

Youve missed the point assguru. Couple of days ago you made a nasty comment about me regarding alcoholism and maths. Today you dig out a maths comment I made from 4 years ago (4 years!). Do I have to spell out what that says about you?
