Mauritius isn't really poor it's middle of the road.

I never said freedom automatically equals prosperity and that there are no other variables. However, my 6 examples do seem a little more quantitative than your single example.

Anyway, how do YOU measure 'prosperity'?
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

You claim free market policies invariably lead to prosperity.
And yet your own link shows that is not necessarily the case.
We have free and poor countries and not-so-free, richer ones.

That is is a failure of logic and intelligence - hence you're a moron.
State run economies are utterly useless and there is not one individual within the UK civil service who could run anything. Free market policies are the only way for wealth to be created. The problem with free markets is that they are utterly ruthless in how they work and they inevitably create their own anti free market monopolies. There are also key services which are not suited to being run as free market entities though there are plenty of their functions that should be and indeed are.

The state should not run anything it should instead regulate and ensure that free markets benefit everyone and do not leave people behind. Public services should be run as if they were clearly seen as an enhancement to peoples lives (instead of fiefdoms of politicians and those that work in them) . They are anything but.
