What? you haven't seen Anchorman? you HAVE to see itWe don't have to save the world. The world is big enough to look after itself. What we have to be concerned about is whether or not the world we live in will be capable of sustaining us in it.

Yeah, I don't 'get' CUK really either.Originally posted by Platypus View PostIt's the fact that we can see it but the characters cannot that makes it so funny. And that they are a bunch of idiots who take themselves so seriously. Oh wait .... I hadn't seem the similarity with CUK before

Yes that is a good one.Originally posted by sasguru View PostAs you're in germany, I suggest "The Lives of Others".
Some recent ones I've enjoyed are Moneyball, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Everything must go.
If you've never seen Intacto that's worth seeing. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

I'm going to pipe up again about God Bless America as it was a limited release, but I would think the trailer would be enough to strike some chords with this board. An excellent dark, comedy.

90 mins with one guy in a coffin trying to find out how he got there and how to get out. Just an amazing script performed with aplomb.

90 mins with....er....one guy...in..a. phonebooth! Another example of great screenwriting and a Hollywood hearthrob doing sterling work. You won't go for a piss from 15 mins onwards

The trailer's cut like the ones above. It's such a gripping story you don't remember you're reading subtitles after 10 minutes.Comment
