But, the salaries and rates in Australia have stayed roughly the same. So now 10 years later, you can get $1200 in banking. Your $1200 converted now is £800!! The Australian economy has not got weaker! The UK has!!!! It's more expensive for someone in the UK to travel to Australia than it is the other way!! The Aussie economy has been booming!! Your entire argument was back to front!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry!!!!
This would be magic, but he said he had a sterling rate

So if he agreed a sterling rate, then it is devaluing.

If he had said an Aussie rate, then yes, of course it is better. But he didn't, he said sterling.

Firstly, you do get offered hourly rates in Aus.

Secondly, you said Sterling rates in Aus. This means, unless I am mistaken, you have a sterling day rate, paid in Aus. As for the past 10 years, Sterling has fallen against the Aussie dollar, meaning the day rates, in sterling, have fallen.

So you've actually been getting less, unless now you are saying you have an aussie rate, and then your point is valid. You didn't say this.
No hourly rates in oz. Not for at least 5 years.

Of your other statements, yes I meant the one that made any sense.. The other was idiocy. Why would I tolerate a sliding rate.

Meaning something, and typing something else, gets everyone into trouble. As for tolerating, that's contracting. If you signed a euro contract last summer, it would have devalued now. That's what happens.

As I said, I was offered A$120 an hour to go back in 2009. Melbourne.

It's painful interacting with you. You're not even entertaining. You're like an autistic child. I'm gonna drop this now because work calls... But I can't say I've enjoyed it (bet you've heard that before).

Look, don't blame me that you cocked your story up, and are now running off like a girl.

Next time, if you're making a story up, just make sure it's all in the right order and don't get too excited and type to fast, as you'll make a mistake and, as we know, you can't, in an argument, say: 'yes, it says that, but I meant....'

I think it was quite obvious what he meant!!! To me, when he said 'sterling rate' he implied and then confirmed he meant a conversion rate in a later post!!! Maybe it was all to obvious!!! I reckon Bill Gates would have got it straight away!!!!

He said "sterling rate to aussie", which implies the conversion was Sterling to Aus Dollars. Then saying, later, a different thing, simply means he made the mistake, not me. Very funny that you jumped on the bandwagon so fast though.

'Too' by the way, in case Spelling Bee gets all hard again.

Bandwagon?!!! No!!! Just wanted to clarify & interject!!! I'm sorry, it was entirely obvious what was being said!!!! But if it's so important to your fragile ego to be correct, then feel free to sleep on it, knowing that you were right and everyone else is obviously stupid!!!!

                  GOOD NIGHT!!!

Seems to me, he states, clearly, a sterling rate, paid in Aussie.

It's not about me being right, its about you jumping on my back with references to the pattern matching, and Bill Gates, when he clearly, clearly says Sterling rates paid in aussie.

You've made the mistake, as did spelling bee, of arguing the man, and not the argument as, reiterating, it clearly states "sterling rates to aussie", which is counter intuitive to what he was saying.

Just because he corrected himself, afterwards, and after I'd made my comment, doesn't render my comment laughable, and his correct, quite the contrary.
