This year is a disaster for bless 'em all's self sufficiency in jams and chutneys.

No apples on any of the trees in the garden, nor any plums from either tree.

Get yourself a beehive or two.

(Though this year you would have been feeding them. )

The tomatoes didn't even get to green before the plants died.

Rented cheery tree we only got 8kg - we saw some with different varities leaving with 10 cherries!

I must admit, 1 apple tree in our garden has had a good crop and that's why I feel duty-bound to make the most of it.

I've even managed a bottle or 2 of apple vodka.

Good crop of apples this year. I'll likely use about 1% for my own cooking and the rest will go to waste, can't give these things away.

Strawberry wine.
Blackcurrant wine.
Elderberry wine.
Blackberry wine.

Also 40 pints of velvet stout and 40 pints of winter warmer.

You've got whining down to a fine art. Must be the practice.
