Ah, I thought you were pontificating. Your post certainly came across in that manner. I've been trying to be polite but I tell you what, **** it. You worry about your kids and I'll worry about mine. Now **** off, seriously.

Trying to be polite? Are you kidding? You probably take the nutritional information on your box of cornflakes personally and phone up kellogs telling them to **** off. What is your problem exactly?Originally posted by SupremeSpod View PostAh, I thought you were pontificating. Your post certainly came across in that manner. It's a thread about children, I made a post giving my opinion. You are welcome to give yours. If you can't to it without becoming abusive then just ignore me. Seriously.
I found the following list of "top 10" factors strongly correlated with happy kids quite informative. #2 and #3 I found quiet surprising.
1. Love and affection. You support and accept the child, are physically
affectionate, and spend quality one-on-one time together.
2. Stress management. You take steps to reduce stress for yourself
and your child, practice relaxation techniques and promote positive
interpretations of events.
3. Relationship skills. You maintain a healthy relationship with your
spouse, significant other or co-parent and model effective relationship
skills with other people.
4. Autonomy and independence. You treat your child with respect and
encourage him or her to become self-sufficient and self-reliant.
5. Education and learning. You promote and model learning and
provide educational opportunities for your child.
6. Life skills. You provide for your child, have a steady income and
plan for the future.
7. Behavior management. You make extensive use of positive reinforcement
and punish only when other methods of managing behavior
have failed.
8. Health. You model a healthy lifestyle and good habits, such as regular exercise and proper nutrition, for your child.
9. Religion. You support spiritual or religious development and participate in spiritual or religious activities.
10. Safety. You take precautions to protect your child and maintain awareness of the child’s activities and friends.Last edited by doodab; 6 September 2012, 10:34.While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

We shouldn't worry about how other people treat their children? What a horrible perspective to take. Thousands of kids every year basically have their entire lives ruined by parents who can't be bothered to care fro them in their most formative years.Originally posted by SupremeSpod View PostYou worry about your kids and I'll worry about mine. I don't mean you (mainly it's poor families in disadvantaged areas who were similarly not parented themselves), but that argument is not a good one to anyone who is not 100% self-absorbed.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
