What the bit where you said it's all irrelevant because you don't know what words mean? I think even there you have "irrelevant" confused with "futile".
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

It most certainly is, and was the market leader before they lost the exclusivity contract to GE for the -200LR, -300ER series.

Edit: Just seen your 2nd reply

Where did I say Rolls is a state enterprise?
My point is that free markets don't necessarily provide the best outcome.
The Rolls Royce jet engine business would most likely not exist if not for government intervention.
Its also worth considering that many life changing inventions and enterprises: penicillin, the internet, Space exploration, the atomic bomb, to name a few, were created under the aegis of the public sector.

It seems you and Robbie are in hot competition for Village Idiot of the Day.
So are you saying that if Rolls Royce did not exist and that Derby was shorn of its largest employer the Universities, the schools, sports clubs and arts groups would be perfectly well supported without them?
My point is that self interest is a positive force for members of society to help each other. It is a more positive force than do gooding socialists (with respect to you) working for most public sector institutions deliver.
There are indeed many pieces of scientific research that have become of considerable practical importance many of which tend to be invented during wars. The challenge for government and the public sector should be to invoke this sort of spirit into the entire public sector. You lefties wouldnt like that though because then there would be no more poor people for you to feel patronisingly sorry for.

You have managed to move the debate into a nit pick about terminology
