Perhaps civilians may perish but they cannot destroy our civilisation.

    Unless we allow them to.

Had we not invaded Iraq, Zarqawi would not be dead today, but rather ensconced in some Baghdad safe house or larger encampment plotting more savagery.

Had we not invaded Iraq, Saddam's nuclear decision menu today would be how much or little assistance to give Zarqawi, followed by the allocation of bribes to his various U.N. oil-for-food stooges, followed by succession planning with his mad-as-hatter sons.

I think you mean "body bags". A doggy bag is something you get at the end of a meal in America, because portions in the land of the obese porker are massive.

Or maybe you do mean doggy bags. Yumm yumm.

Funny how you seem to have become wiser in the last few weeks. We are all dependent on the media for most of what we know. And they are for the most part fed morsels by the political wonks. Flash and Teflon seemed to have perfected the art of taming journalists. Until recently that is.

Does anybody actually believe this drivel.

It is the very invasion of Iraq that has given those like Zargawi the excuse to do what they do. It is the continual invasion of Muslim countries by the West, plus a failer to defend and protect them that has given disenfranchised Muslims the idea that we in the Western Liberal democracies have it in for them.

The invasion of Iraq was wrong in international law because the Iraq was not in the process of invading any country after 10 years of sanctions and a no-fly zone under the existing UN mandates.

No evidence of WMD were found either by the inspectors tasked with finding them nor by the allied forces since the wars end.

We cannot keep invading Muslim countries with impunity and expecting the Islamic community to sit idly by while we do it.

Consider first that Bush is financed by oil companies and what went up after the war and is still high priced - Oil.

Iraq wasn't just about Oil. It is part of a new American/British colonial empire.

Since the brits messed up the middle-east the first time, why not let the Americans show how to mess it up even more a second time.

Suicides??? Do we have any proof? Other than what the US military has released to the world.

Media spin to aid the failing president's ratings. These 'deaths' are playing pretty well in the US.

I think I see the problem

                From Zathras

We don't. We keep invading countries which happen to be muslim. Now it is possible to argue that the reason these countries are 'mad, bad and dangerous to know' is because they are muslim, but I wouldn't countenance such a racist comment. Probably.
                Why not?
