I found the quality of M&S and Next suits went down the pan years ago.
I've learnt to invest in a good quality suit that will look good, is tailored nicely and of a good cut.
The suit will last for years rather than having to buy a replacement suit for something that doesn't last beyond a year of repeated dry cleaning.Comment

Difficult for men, I go to a local independant boutique that sells italian outfits - I bought 2 excellent pairs of trousers that actually fit me - I gave away my M&S trousers the same day."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

You 'gave away' your trousers ???
Do you maintain a waiting list of candidates waiting to acquire your trousers ??
Is 'giving away your trousers' normal behaviour ???
And these weren't just trousers, they were M&S trousers........When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

I have 1 tailored suit, a semi-bespoke from Austin Reed, and a few cheapish ones from John Lewis. Good ones for the interview, and the JL ones are super comfy and hard wearing - Mayfair/Richard James and Daniel Hechter. Highly recommended.
Don't wear a suit for the current gig though.Comment
