But the only marketing you need is local to begin with followed by word of mouth.

don't forget to add dodgem cars. The amount of money one of our local centres make from children (and adults) on them is stupid.

And decent grub, I personally don't mind buying food at places like that as long as it's decent I've been to so many where the food is substandard it puts you on purchasing anything there

Don't underestimate the costs of insurance and staff wages at these places and that during term times and periods of good weather they are nowhere near as busy.

There is still a good crowd during term times, a lot of "mummy circles" regularly meet up at places like these for a coffee and a gossip while they neglect their kids.

BTW On a related note they are also a good place to pick up single mums if you take your own little one to them

I have been to a lot of bad ones, but only a few good ones.

Food and coffee, drinks, has to be good quality, which means a pukka coffee machine, which are not cheap. But, you'll get the money back in spades.

My local one does "babyccinos" which is just basically frothy milk but its a nice little touch

Forget soft-play, child care is where it's at. Nursery and other prices have risen 25% in the last four years alone. I don't see that trend changing.
If you are Ofsted outstanding in a non-price sensitive place like Nappy Valley, you could charge top whack and you'd be beating parents off with a stick.
                  Hard Brexit now!

"Brewers Fayre is one of the most successful pub restaurant networks
in the UK. There are 381 Brewers Fayres nation-wide, of which over 120
have a Charlie Chalk Fun Factory, which makes them particularly
                    attractive to parents with children."
