That sounds like an expensive solution to a problem I don't have, anyway I'm a disguised employee not a businessman.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

My S3 has been sitting in the Post Office since Monday but will pick it up tomorrow and compare it to the Nexus I have in front of me. Also need to order another one so will probably go for the X and then I can compare all 3, whoopie....

or get the top end phone and get the tablet anyway

or wait for one of these to come out with a better spec

          ASUS - Mobile- ASUS PadFone
Thinking of changing my phone too and not wanting to pay over the odds for a new model, am thinking of going for a HTC Sensation which has now started to come down in price.

It's about a year since it was released, I believe, but the specs just about still hold up compared to newer phones.

Wrt, the Asus PhonePad, that looks like a decent bit of kit but when I was in the market for a tablet earlier in the year, I was considering an Asus Transformer but heard a few horror stories regarding their reliability so decided against it.

          BTW, hello all.

The first batch of Transformers suffered a bit from reliability but that was fixed.

I did own one for a couple of weeks it was almost perfect. Unfortunately the wifi was complete tulipe so I had to send it back
The only other niggle is that copying from USB to internal storage was rather slow. Still faster than an iPad manages though

The size seems ok to me - it's only marginally bigger than my current phone

Finally made up my mind... I'll be getting the Samsung.

What swung it was the keyboard, which looks better laid out on the Samsung compared to the HTC.

The extra GB of RAM won't hurt either, plus the samsung looks like it will be steadier than the HTC when laid flat on a desk
