It's all so predictable:
Rooney will have a belter of a game scoring a brace and sending England to the quarters.
The press will go mad and start talking of winning the Euro.
In the quarter-final, Rooney will miss a penalty, get into a strop and be sent off for a pointless bit of petulance.
England will come home to the inevitable analysis of what went wrong this time.
Woy will be kept in till the next fiasco, when some other (English as opposed to foreign) numpty will take over and lead England to more mediocrity, while trousering a big wedge.Hard Brexit now!

...then Britain's Olympian athletes and cyclists will bring in a truckload of medals but the meejah will within 2 weeks return to whining about British sportspeople never win anything.Originally posted by sasguru View PostIt's all so predictable:

Face it, England are crap at football. British sportspeople are at the top of the world in;
- rugby
- cycling
- athletics
- rowing
- swimming
- cricket, sometimes
- probably several other things I haven't named
