You started off by suggesting the cabinet had too much inherited wealth. Only 3 of the 10 named are in this position, and one of those has several directorships.

So now it is just the PM and Chancellor. Just to be clear, is your point that no-one who inherits wealth should be PM or Chancellor?

That's the problem with Osboorne and Cameron. They think the answer's lie in tightening your belt a notch, putting off replacing the Bentley for a bit and then someone will eventually bequeath you a load of money and everything's dandy again. Neither of them are in touch with the real world as neither have ever had to provide for themselves.

We need to get rid. The Tory party needs to get rid of them as well and come up with some more credible candidates for the jobs.

Yes, I think somebody who has inherited a lot of wealth (millions) rather than earned it is not fit to be a Chancellor and PM because their jobs are to increase wealth of the nation and since they inherited their own they ain't got a clue how to actually create it: this is evidenced very well by their clueless "pro-business" policies.

Anyone would be preferable to those two clowns in my opinion even the Chuckle Brothers. Surely the Tories can do better than these two idiots?

I don't have a problem with a PM who thinks being rich isn't repugnant.

It's not repugnant to be rich and it's good if a person who knows how to create wealth runs the country or company - tha'ts totally essential, however in this case we've people who inherited wealth rather than created it.

The question is, what motivates a [sane] person to enter politics or other profession when they already have enough money in the bank to live a nice life.

Who would you like to run the country? Anybody who knows how to create wealth is probably off creating wealth. The problem is, they're all career politicians; none of them from any party has any real world experience worth a damn, but what's the alternative? Pay mega-bucks to attact the best paid from the banking sector? Can you imagine how that would go down.
