Labour punish coalition !!

People have short memories, Labour absolutely cocked up the economy only a few years ago, whilst people support the need for cuts, as soon as they hit them they object and assume Labour have the answer.
I never understand the Labour mantra "too far, too fast" - whilst I can accept they may hold the view that the cuts maybe "too fast" I cannot see how they are "too far" - we are running a deficit of £120 billion in this year alone - how long do they think we can carry on like this?
People should have to take a simple exam before they are allowed to vote, most people who vote Labour have no idea about economics."The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." CiceroComment

I can only guess the majority got used to the 'living on credit' good times. There haven't been any real cuts in government (our) debt. People just don't want to hear the bad news and Labour quite happily pretend they have the magic answer.Originally posted by minestrone View PostIt disturbes me that people are still willing to vote labour.Comment

Why ?
Labour gets most of its votes from public sector employees and for a decade or so all the Labour voters clung on to this gravy train with inflated salaries and pensions. For them £120 billion debt a year means nothing. The state owes them a living and for the 9-5 job with 10 tea breaks they deserve the inflated the salaries. Labour borrowed billions to keep them happy and now that the ConLib are cutting off the gravy train they are trying to the vote the labour goons back into power so they can restart the train.Vote Corbyn ! I'm not labour but I do wish politicians and voters alike would stop blaming them for the GLOBAL financial crisis . That was due to insane trading of mortgage books by banks internationally, in order to boost a false future income for the idiots to swallow up.Comment

WHS
It was not Gordon Brown's fault and it was all the fault of the banks and the subprime crisis started bys USA. The UK was being run brilliantly by a man with vision but he was cruelly derailed by the US banks.Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !Comment

Only the postal votes..Originally posted by centurian View PostShouldn't it be the voters that are punishing the coalition - not Labour. I mean it's not like Labour are the ones casting the votes, are they
