Barca play beautiful football, and Chelsea didn't so much park the Bus at the Camp Nou, but built a car park for buses. It was a horrible game to watch, but fascinating none the less.

Barca's problem, imo, is that they didn't have a Plan B, and Plan A always seems to work. Pep doesn't look the genius he looked a few months ago, and I am wondering if that contract extension thats been unsigned for the past few months will suddenly be withdrawn.

Sometime, you have to win ugly, like Chelsea did, and Barca appear reluctant to.

The only two things that made me smile, was JT missing the final, as he's a loathesome cock, and the fact Chelsea will be raped in the final; RM are playing well, and even if the unthnnkable happens and BM win tonight, they have enough guns to destroy a poor Chelsea side.

    That will make me smile.

I for one am chuffed that Chelsea have got to the final, its good for the Premier League and I would just wet myself if Spurs finally manage to secure the 4th spot in next years Big Cup only for it to be given to Chelsea for winning it

Odd, I'd have thought you'd be a fan of him on that basis

It was certainly exciting, especially as Chelsea lost both centre-backs and had such a makeshift defence.

For drama it will probably be remembered as a great game, like Roorke's Drift was remembered as a great battle. Except that Michael Caine wasn't sent off in that one.

This highlights the lack of varied ammunition that Barca have. I just can't understand why they didn't try changing their game to go wide - they just kept trying to play down the middle like they did 2 years ago against Inter! It was like they were willing to die for the principle of their football philisophy rather than trying something else - nuts. They really lacked a David Villa or a big man up front. I am happy Chelsea got through and even more happy the way they did it (in losing Terry to a red card).

It's very good for the superrich players in the Premier League, but very bad for poor clubs that go bust because of insane wage demands: EBT stuff at Rangers would have never happened if salaries did not account for super high %-tage of costs.

Don't go on, AtW! You're like a stuck record.

Go and stick your commie comments on the Rangers thread.

The do but largely because of the protection given to them by the refs. If a barca player is tackeld they have a tendancy to go down like Ashley Young in a stiff breeze and posession is given baack to Barca. This has 2 effects. One is that their posession stats go through the roof and 2 is that the opposition stop tackling them, further increasing 1!
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

                      I preferred version 1!
