Attitude of people on low pay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not wanting to generalise but having had 4 cleaners now heres the things I've found out.

1) If they've got money that week, they won't turn up.
2) If they've got something better to do that week, they won't turn up.
3) They think its perfectly acceptable to cancel at 9pm the night before because tomorrow is they're birthday.
4) They really are experts at making up excuses for not turning up.
5) Turning up 30 mins late and leaving 30 mins early for a 2 hour job is OK.
6) If you ask them politely why they didnt clean this or that, they'll just quit (i.e. found out).
7) They think they're your best friend ever (one even found a pregnancy test in the bin and came straight out and asked the mrs is she was pregnant - we hadnt even told family at that point -bit intrusive that conversation!).

To be fair, I've employed via agency, direct from adverts posted through door, and by personal recommendation. In most cases, the cleaner tells you how much they charge - not the other way round.

3. Let me know if they can't make it.

You do however live in benefit junkieville Wales.... So those high expectations are your own fault...

I have had a cleaner for the past 3 years, 1st company closed when owners retired & they recommended an alternative who has been fine, never had a non-show, they generally turn up about the same time every week – but TBH this is not an issue as BGG & I are at work.

They have been very helpful & leave relevant comments in the book, at crimbo & easter I leave her some chocolate
