Yeah - but it was in white, so I missed it.

Why all simply connected mazes are identical and why the left hand rule works.

          Ok NotAllThere (how apt),

Here's a final post for you, it does contain longer words for than you normally get, so I'll try and keep them to a minimum.

As a defintion, the difference between a maze and a labyrinth, is that a Labyrinth has twists and turns but no branches. A Maze has to have branches.

Once you've realised your folly, love, I'll be ovder here playing with that nice ball waiting...

Or did I miss a branch in that lovely example of yours....

            Code:
            +--------+
            | |
            | +----+ |
            | | | |
            c | a b|
            | | | |
            | +----+ |
            | |
            +--------+
Ah, alas, no, no branches, so not a maze...

Sorry, I disagree. If you take a path out of the centre from a to b, then it branches as you can turn left or right and follow two separate paths to c.

Quite amusing. No matter what you do, you end at the same destination.

Remembering, this is a logical, mathematical argument over a definition. There are no branches here, the clear distinction between a labyrinth and a maze.

You do realise a branch has to take you somewhere else dont you? Otherwise it isn't a branch now is it...

                      Nah, still a fail.
