I never enjoy projects anymore. Happiness was the days when work meant an empty rack and a load of Sun equipment in the loading bay.
Unless you are on board for the project initiation or have influence in the wider programme you are always going to be screwed if you pick up a stream in a programme that was planned by some one else... It's important that you use assumptions and risk logs properly and ensure you are given a project that can be deliverable, IMO Its better to be sacked for calling the programme manager a donkey in an open meeting, than taking his figures and project plan as gospel and failing to deliver...Comment
