Tax free allowance to increase to £9,000ish in April 2013 (I'll be listening out for whether the 40% threshold reduces by the same amount)
SDLT to increase to 7% for property > £2m
Fuel duty rises 3p in August
Income at which child benefit is scrapped raised to £50k
I'm more listening for the Tax Avoidance measures, i.e. IR35 done right.

We can expect lots of giveaways as the deficit reduction is on track:

Or Australia would be my choice. Cracking beaches to fish from, and rivers. If you're really up in the sticks up north, don't wade, use a boat. Possibly not too good for the kids mind...

I heard that they are reducing the first band to 34k something, so the upper band start doesn't actually change.

The chancellor will use Wednesday's speech to update MPs on the latest forecasts for the UK's struggling economy.

Right, so why are the Beeb and others already telling us what it has been leaked/expects/understands etc

For some reason the anouncement of news before it has happened really winds me up these days.

                  Don't know why.

All info available so far is BS.

If they cut top rate of tax (right thing) they should also address anomaly of 60%+ tax at £112k due to theft of tax free allowance. That actually affects more people than 50% tax itself.

I wonder how they'll deal with tax rate on dividends - reduce it inline with top rate of income tax?

Nothing heard about CGT also - getting back taper relief would have been smart thing to do.

And I hope the bastard who reduced massively annual investment allowance will burn in hell

Yes. it's like watching a film with people who keep telling you what's going to happen next.
