leave the window open - get eaten by the insects and swell up for a fortnight in bitten-agony.
leave the windows closed. - suffocate and get serious chest and heart palpitations.

so the missus left her window open and suffered
being eaten by the insects and swelled up for a fortnight in bitten-agony.
and suffocated and get serious chest and heart palpitations.

whilst me, being sensible, closed my window and only suffered
being suffocated and get serious chest and heart palpitations.

Like all uncomfortable sleeping positions, the administration of a 'Gentlemans Horlicks' is enough to guarantee a quick and peaceful descent into the land of nod..........

The Ford Cortina MKII 1600 Sport Automatic is not too bad to sleep in as it has a bench seat which folds right down nearly making a double bed. Old septic cars with bench seats also provide this capability. Discovered these facts in my youth when still living at home and having a very horny girlfriend. Ford Capri is crap for these activities BTW.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I would say the Ford Capri simply made the exercise more of a challenge. The mini was an exercise in logistics and only suitable for warm weather but the T2 Bay I had was about perfect for every occasion

Ah, he reckons sleeping on the back seat curled up is better than laying the seats back and stretching out, into the boot.

Why not leave the windows open a little and stick mosquito netting over the crack.

The Renault 16 and Austin Maxi had fold-down seats that turned into a double bed which also reminds me of this...

In seriousness to the OP, I bought a little motorhome for a distance contract and rented it from myself for accomodation and a few business miles. Pukka little thing with cooker, fridge, bog and shower, stayed on campsites for a tenner a night in something approximating luxury, certainly comfortable enough

Great thing was could just hang clean clothes up on a Sunday, and put real food in the fridge, no more KFC and weatherspoons curries; result!

In my first ever gig i slept in my car in the clients car park (bad i know, looking back on it).

In the passenger seat, wound back fully.

I tried sleeping in the clients building once on some comfy sofa (it was a BIG building and i thought i'd get away with it). Security guard woke me up and said i couldn't sleep here
