What happened to the lady? Is she still with us? Would she fancy subletting some of her space?

The lady in the car | Society | The Guardian
I don't think I'd recommend a Reliant Robin though...Alan Bennet's most famous work of non-fiction. It is the history of Miss Shepherd who in the 1970s lived in a Robin Reliant car opposite Bennett's house in Camden. After a series of attacks on her van he suggested she move to his driveway. Thus began an extraordinary 15 year friendship between a writer and a homeless old lady.

In my first ever gig i slept in my car in the clients car park (bad i know, looking back on it).Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostHow do you sleep in a car?
In the passenger seat, wound back fully.
I tried sleeping in the clients building once on some comfy sofa (it was a BIG building and i thought i'd get away with it). Security guard woke me up and said i couldn't sleep here

In seriousness to the OP, I bought a little motorhome for a distance contract and rented it from myself for accomodation and a few business miles. Pukka little thing with cooker, fridge, bog and shower, stayed on campsites for a tenner a night in something approximating luxury, certainly comfortable enough
Great thing was could just hang clean clothes up on a Sunday, and put real food in the fridge, no more KFC and weatherspoons curries; result!

The Renault 16 and Austin Maxi had fold-down seats that turned into a double bed which also reminds me of this...Originally posted by darmstadt View PostThe Ford Cortina MKII 1600 Sport Automatic is not too bad to sleep in as it has a bench seat which folds right down nearly making a double bed. Old septic cars with bench seats also provide this capability. Discovered these facts in my youth when still living at home and having a very horny girlfriend. Ford Capri is crap for these activities BTW.

Ah, he reckons sleeping on the back seat curled up is better than laying the seats back and stretching out, into the boot.Originally posted by beaker View PostHow about this one? Maxi Versatility

I would say the Ford Capri simply made the exercise more of a challenge. The mini was an exercise in logistics and only suitable for warm weather but the T2 Bay I had was about perfect for every occasionOriginally posted by darmstadt View PostThe Ford Cortina MKII 1600 Sport Automatic is not too bad to sleep in as it has a bench seat which folds right down nearly making a double bed. Like all uncomfortable sleeping positions, the administration of a 'Gentlemans Horlicks' is enough to guarantee a quick and peaceful descent into the land of nod..........

To increase security and deter criminals, stick this banner on your car: "No money is left overnight in this vehicle. I'm a contractor and my accountant has transferred it all to the Cayman Islands".
