You can't just get the cuk vote based on your opinion of IR35. We need to know your opinion on gladiators too. And guinea pigs. -
I like them, unless you don't? Then I don't, whatever makes you vote for me. Vaguely remember a short-lived recession around 92-93 as bought 1st house around that time. Apart from that thought he did a steady job. A bit like a good ref is one you don’t notice.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostJohn Major?

Good article in the Telegraph today comparing him to Heath:
The Conservatives will lose in 2015
I know I’m not going to win the 2012 Award for Political Insight by comparing Cameron to Edward Heath, but there are similarities, and they grow more pronounced the longer his premiership lasts.
Heath is detested by much of the Tory Party for a number of reasons, not least of which was his support for the European Community, and the way he tricked the British public about its true intentions. But mostly it was because, as a “Conservative”, he failed to fight the prevailing Left-wing consensus over economics, a model that was clearly failing; this was partly out of political cowardice and a desire to avoid conflict, but partly because he shared the Left’s beliefs.
Heath’s defeat turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the Right, allowing as it did for the arrival of someone who was prepared to “turn the clock back” (for better or worse).Comment

Very good comparison.Originally posted by wurzel View Post
If you read a Cameron speech it's as if Tony Blair never left. Change, fairness, strong public services, immigration, education education education, tax, govt initiatives, it's all there, all exactly the same.
Big govt, big tax, big spend, big brother, nanny state, big EU, war mongering, sucking up to America...
"Choose Conservative. Choose Labour. Choose Lib Dem. Choose the EU. Choose a big ******* television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disk players and electrical tin openers... choose DIY and wondering who the **** you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on the couch, watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarassment to the selfish, ****ed-up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose the UK. But why would I want to do a thing lke that?"Comment

Have you thought that through? If he is doing what you say here, how is he paying for it while simultaneously reducing the deficit?Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostBig govt, big tax, big spend, big brother, nanny state, big EU, war mongering, sucking up to America...Comment

Printing money. He's paying down debt with funny money. Buying your own debt drops the cost of it as you are not paying market rates for the debt.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostHave you thought that through?
