NEWS UPDATE:
My boss has decided to extend my contract for another month.
I'm not sure if I want to continue working at this place for another month, there's just too many backstabbers, wannabe chiefs and not enough Indians.
If I stay, I'm a lamed duck, I won't be given new projects and just be transferring my business and technical knowledge to another permie (Not Mr Hippo). My boss did mentioned that he's trying to move me onto another project, but I'm not sure if he's just waving a bone at me to stop me from leaving so soon.
Money has never been the issue, I've never held a permie job in my whole life and have contracted about 15 years. I was tempted by the permie role that was offered to me because I felt I wanted to do more at work strategically, climb the corporate ladder and get a small mortgage too.
Now I feel £20k cash in the bank is a far better proposition than a permie job. Contracting shall remain my profession.
Yes my boss is a great listener to hearsay and he really believes all the poo coming from HIPPO's mouth is the golden source to how business works... In fact, Hippo's work is rubbish and I have to identify and correct his mistakes. I think my reluctance to continue fixing Hippo's work did contribute towards my demised and no lengthy renewal of my contract at the company.
Finally, REVENGE is going to be difficult too as I don't like burning bridges. Yes... These institutions do have a secret database used to vet prospective employees and contractors, and I can't risk getting blacklisted.
Nevertheless, the Escort cards and Hippo's moblile number does sound like a doable task.
What would you do in my situation?...Comment

If you haven't worked that out by now then you're not cut out to be a contractor.

May you just put your head below the yard arm and carry on with FULL profession? Possibly all will then be loving you..."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
