    surely the idea is that you can do what you like, as long as you grovel afterwards ?
    The Catholic church had confession but confession was always "I told a lie to my teacher", or "I took one of my friend's sweets without asking" If you had buggered your sister's Red setter you kept quiet about it.

      I wonder which religion has the highest proportion of paedo priests. I mean, if you were of a religious persuasion, would it determine which church or mosque you sent the kids off to.

      Imagine the situation where it could be guaranteed 100% that the priests of a certain faith would not bum your kids.
      It's an argumnet vis a vis female clergy that I never considered before

        Church is OK, it's communion that's risky.

        Never kneel in front of a Priest with your eyes shut and your mouth open :-)
