I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

It's worse than that. Iran has a complete nuclear industry which is spread out across various sites in the country.
It would be necessary to cripple the entire industry with one salvo, and you won't achieve that with aircraft with conventional bombs.
Like I said, once Iran proves itself to definitely possess nuclear weapons, it then ramps-up the stakes. Faced with a nuclear-armed near neighbour screaming 'death to Israel' Israel is then authorised by the rules of war to employ nuclear weapons itself. Until then it can't.
It's a bit of a lose lose for Iran here - put yourself in it's shoes:
1) America at war next door in Afghanistan
2) America next door in Iraq (they still have several 1000 troops there believe it or not), Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey etc etc in other words they are totally surrounded.
3) America already advocating regime change in surrounding countries - who's next?
4) Israel + US have 1000's of Nukes between them (let's not pretend like the US is not the b***h of Israel).
5) Israel and US have a far superior military force
Regardless of your views on Iran (which incidentally are always made out to be crazy villains in the western media) they are in a tough situation. Either they try to deter the aggressive Israelis with a Nuke or they stand by and risk themselves being the victims of Nukes from a future nut case Israeli leader - actually I take that back, they only have one choice - get the Nuke for self defence purposes given all the above facts...

This is all based on the assumtion that those in charge of Iran are rational thinkers.

Tough situation?? Or the third choice is not worry about Nukes and get on with building an economy - stop sponsoring terrorism across the globe & stop publicly stating that your neigbours should be completely wiped off the planet.

Sorry are you talking about Iran, Israel, USA or somebody else there? It's alright for Saudi to openly sponsor terrorism all over the world and for UK to be best buddies with them? USA sponsored terrorism in NI, Jordan sponsors terrorism in Iraq. Interesting to see how the media spin has made you believe everything you hear....
So Israel is slowly wiping Palestine off both the map and the planet. It wouldn't mind doing that to Lebanon too, but hey that's ok cos Israel is "friends" with us. Israel is also spending huge amounts on military and are having economic problems. They already have the nuclear arsenal but I guess that is ok too.... Very funny how that statement could be applied perfectly to Israel....
You'd build up your military arsenal to if you were surrounded by hostile nations that are laying claim to the land your people live on, even after Israel made concessions and gave them the gaza strip they still weren't happy
