Do/have you hired a cleaner/maid/etc?

Don't and never have. Mainly because the place is such a tip, there's no chance of finding the floor to hoover it.

I've tried to talk Ms Styles into allowing us to have a home-help/maid or whatever they are called, but she refuses.

Perhaps she thinks, that I think, that she's not up to the job.

Who knows.
