Not very often I get involved but today I made an exception.
Went to get my haircut at lunchtime in one of those unisex salons.
There were a couple of people waiting and several already in the chair.
Among these was a little Indian boy bawling his eyes out.
His bemused parents couldn't stop him from crying, the girl with the scissors offered him a sweet but that didn't work and eventually, the woman who I took to be the owner, said enough is enough. She was concerned that it was annoying her punters.
Cue Pacha to the rescue.
In the corner of the shop was a potted ornamental fig. Quite a big tree; about 8 feet in height.
I grabbed it and pulled it across the floor to where the little boy was sat such that he was under the tree and he immediately stopped crying.
What a result! I even got a 1 pound discount. You see, it pays to be a good citizen.
