We've had a dozen different managers since 1966, nearly all fans' favourites when appointed like Harry is now, and the only two times we reached the semi-finals of a tournament were when:
- In 1990 the manager had been in the job 8 years (he failed to qualify for his first tournament)
- In 1996 we played at home
After 46 years and counting, when will anyone who matters realise that all these different managers were not the problem? The problem being that the domestic game in England mitigates against winning an end-of-season tournament?Comment

I very much doubt that Xavi, Cesc, Iniesta, Sneijder or Barry, Milner, Terry, Downing and even Stevie G ?
England become short prices at the bookies because we all believe we have the next golden generation and people believe the hype.Comment
