    Fair point - he'd have a job sending a sub, too. Then again I'd have to see his contract...

      Not a pointer apparently. You could have a dozen customers and still get picked up as inside IR35 for one or more of them while outside for the others. I met a chap a while back that developed software for lots of people. Apparently HMRC got him on 3 or 4 of the clients (out of 20 in the year). But found him outside IR35 at his current gig which was a single customer big job.. No rhyme reason or logic.
