I wouldn't want it to do it for that. Why should i take a drop. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Apparently he is a genius with a great record in public and private sector on turning around failing organisations. You have to pay a fortune for anyone who is any good - ask the bankers, Dodgy etc.Originally posted by AtW View PostWTF head of student finance is even paid so much - £140k for a position where he dishes out money, more or less admin kind of job?!?!Comment

Bingo!
The words "IR35" and "IT Consultants" have just been mentioned on Newsnight.
Even Maitlis is whinging that it's "not fair".Comment

Yes its simple to identify, she told us so. Maybe they should tell HMRC how because they keep getting whipped in court. Pity the dodgy IT contractors so cleverly avoid just paying, then party supporters would be the only ones who get off tax free.Comment

The thing that struck me most about the BBC's investigation was their omission to mention that many of their own big earners, Paxo and Maitlis included, make use of ltd companies to channel earnings themselves [1].
The hypocrisy of the BBC in this is stinking, but strangely none of the right-wing press seem to have picked up on it.

Paxperson writes for the papers and writes books too - surely a defintion of multiple clients - that bloke from student loans only appears to do one job.Originally posted by cybersquatter View PostThe thing that struck me most about the BBC's investigation was their omission to mention that many of their own big earners, Paxo and Maitlis included, make use of ltd companies to channel earnings themselves [1].

True, but that detail is lost on the BBC in any case, it's all about him not paying enough tax guv innit.Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostPaxperson writes for the papers and writes books too - surely a defintion of multiple clients - that bloke from student loans only appears to do one job.Comment

If his main permanent job is BBC he should be getting PAYE from there and on the side he can make some money via Ltd writing books. It's not like his job is inherently temporary in BBC.Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostPaxperson writes for the papers and writes books too - surely a defintion of multiple clients - that bloke from student loans only appears to do one job.Comment
