Agreed. We may as well hang a banner on the cliffs of Dover 'Government for hire'Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostOnce you start trying and penalising people by "the court of public opinion", as one Labour ex-minister advocated, you are on a slippery slope.
This time next year we'll have gladiators fighting to the death in the olympic stadium with the PM friends laughing from the private box as a freshly decapitated head flies past. Or have I taken that to far?

This one needs some airing...
I worked with Tim a couple of jobs ago. The resemblance is scary.

The guy should in prison for a very long time, think of all the problems caused by the bailout of the banks. If I was him I would be doing a Gary Speed, can't be much fun being the most hated person in the UKComment

I wouldn't worry about it, the loss is only temporary for the HM government as their coffers are currently being charged up. HMRC have reported record collections for self assessment this year.Originally posted by russell View PostThe guy should in prison for a very long time, think of all the problems caused by the bailout of the banks. He upset the baying mob. Luckily for other bankers he has acted as a lightning rod for banker criticism.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostWhat law is he charged with breaking?Comment

You've all been taken in. All Fred has lost is a useless gong that he should never have received in the first place, but has kept the loot. The elites are pissing all over the gullible masses with a simple gesture that rectifies things in the public eyes, and with the media treating this 'punishment' as if it he had been waterboarded or something, and you lot can't lap it up fast enough.Comment

Who cares? The Honours system is a joke. In this years honours a tory supporter who got millions for sorting out Northern Rock got an honour. Was that for "Services to Banking" as well? Its a farce.McCoy: "Medical men are trained in logic."
