engaged britain in a costly and bloody war in the middle east - FACT
bnp have not ejected people from their meetings using anti-terrorist legislation - FACT (OK they have ejected people using boots and chains, probably)
bnp have not attempted to enact a law which allows them to create any new laws they like without reference to the people - FACT

I repeat, I believe that the bnp are more trustworthy than nl.
    Why not?

You just can't handle the truth!

I have no allegencies to the labour party, but I'm pretty sick of this BNP makeover/cyber activism that they are encouraging.

To all you BNP cyber activists out there, would anyone like to dispute

a/ Combat 18 have connects to the BNP and are a terrorist organisation
b/ The members of the BNP are obssessed with race.
c/ The correlation between being a BNP member and having a criminal record for asault.

Or maybe it's not 'fair' to raise these questions.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Don't understand why todays generation is to blame for any past generation whatever nationality, creed, religion - it just doesn't mean anything.
Though the British Gov't. was slow to respond, Britain actually sent large quantities of grain to Ireland during the famine - unfortunately there were only two flour mills in the whole of Ireland at the time, and very little tradition of cooking with flour, so the majority of it just rotted. (A similar situation occured in Somalia or Ethiopia during a recent famine - the UN provided rice to a population that had millet as its staple grain. You boil millet for about an hour and a half to make it edible - try doing that to rice).

The potato famine extended right across Europe, with the West Country in England suffering badly as well - the difference was that farming was still relatively mixed in most other areas, whereas Ireland was almost a monoculture (potatos brought a good price - they were a valuable cash crop & Ireland produced some of the best quality).

As to the confiscation of land, I thought the Irish nobility owned it all anyway (a legacy of the Norman system of land ownership).

          a - no dispute
          b - don't know any (that I know of)
c - is in your mind only. I suspect that there are a lot more bnp members who have no convictions than those who have convictions for criminal activity, but I couldn't prove it (which does not mean it's not true)

And what's your point anyway, you don't like the bnp so they should be vilified and dismissed as just a waste of energy - hmmn, yeah let's see what margaret hodge thinks about that one shall we.
I still trust the bnp more than I trust nl (admittedly only because the bnp are unlikely to get a sniff of real power, but nl seem to be a pretty good recruiting seargent for them anyway) and I don't trust the bnp.

What is realy annoying about the BNP is their overt racism. Without it they say an awful lot of stuff that I, and a number of others here have espoused.

Whilst they have such a racist core they are unelectable (I hope).

            Try reading their manifesto.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

In the above sentence, replace bnp with commission for racial equality and I agree 100% - spooky.

The BNP is a fascist party, pure and simple, whose main issue is race. They are well aware of the need for marketing gloss, hence the reasonable sounding marketing and communications, which seems to have fooled the more gullible.
Were they to get a sniff of real power, the manifesto would be torn up for their real agenda. Voting for the BNP is basically a vote for a bunch of violent chavs.
                Hard Brexit now!

The Norman system of land ownership was imposed on Ireland by England - and in favour of the English and the reason Ireland really suffered in the Potato famine was that so much land had been confiscated or the rents put so high by England that many fields had nothing growing in them anyway because no-one could afford to.

When I was at school learning history (1970ish) I got access to history books written by Irish Authors that up until 1986 were banned in the UK so I have drawn up my own conclusion from both sides of the story. Bet you didn't know that - any history book written by any Irish Author was banned in the UK up until 1986 - what was being hidden? There were laws all those years later in England stating an Irishman was not allowed to write history - I want another apology

"The Norman system of land ownership was imposed on Ireland by Normans who were in England" would be a lot closer to the truth. It's like all this "800 years" bollocks they all go on about. They can't get it into their heads that they were ruled by the French.... same as the English were.
