Sheesh, who'd have thought. Oh, and you've put a redundant capital in 'he'.
    Why not?

      It's bollocks

because Slavery as an institution was not unknown in Africa.

Further this country was one of the first (if not the first) to abolish Slavery as an institution.

When Lincoln made his famous declaration releasing the slaves it only released those in Confederate States. Not those of the 'North'.

The best apology that can be made is to ensure that everyone has an equality of opportunity which is not as easy as it sounds.

The first country to actually abolish the slave trade was Denmark, in 1792

A very nice young lady from Oslo has promised me to make up for it.

Can you send her round to mine afterwards.

Good god, I thought it was only the chavs supporting that scum.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

                    Denmark

"The first country to actually abolish the slave trade was Denmark, in 1792"

I just came accross a Danish website that shows slaves chained up. There are also pages with donkeys and horses.
