Mrdonut, I doubt you even know why Scotland is part of the UK? Hardly anyone does because they're ignorant 's. If you guess correctly (without cheating on google), you'll get a virtual cookie. Anyway, Scotland gave up it's independence willingly and came running to the UK, cap in hand, begging for money because they were bankrupt from their own stupidity. We bailed you out when we could have let you all starve to death.

Since then, they have always had a massive chip on their shoulder about their resources, (which is actually the UK's resources) maybe you missed the memo, that everyone in the kingdom gives what they can and are all entitled to the same universal treatment. That is how our union is supposed to work.

In modern times, scots feel they are exempt from every other citizen in the UK and feel they should receive special treatment. Who the hell do you think you are, to demand free prescriptions when everyone else in the UK doesnt get them, to get much more money spent on children than every other child in the rest of the kingdom, to come and sit in our parliament yet whine and not allow us to come and sit in yours? Where is the equality there? You're all pathetic little grubby leeches. In fact, although leeches suck you dry just like scots, the discomfort is far less annoying than having to listen to the claptrap coming out of a scots mouth.

You're all pathetic and the SNP approach of alienating the english from the scots is working thankfully. Now maybe the english will wake up a bit. It isnt zero at all.

They have a national debt to the UK that they havent repaid. If we demanded they started making loan payments, after adjusting for inflation, compund interest and charging a reasonable interest rate on the figure, scotlands GDP wouldnt even cover their annual interest payments, nevermind any of the capital they owe us.

Simply put, scotland can never pay back their original debt to us.

Unemployment figures are often inaccurate. I find it hard to believe scotland only has an 8.7% unemployment rate. Have you been to areas like glasgow where nearly 95% of the inhabitants are on welfare, a scummy depressed area ridden with council estates?

What a blissful country it would be, well once we get our welfare problem under control..

If not for all the Eastern Europeans you now have bringing a huge crime wave with them plus the fact they most of them claim no end of state benefits. One thing thing I don't understand/like about Alex Salmond is the fact that he would invite an English queen to be the head of a new Independent Scotland, erm may I ask why. I was not sure that I was for an Independent Scotland before I heard that but now that is his intentions then I am against it. If he wants a break away then it should be complete i.e. a Republic of Scotland.

the tourism figure for norway is pretty doubtful though. Having been to both countries its obvious that scotlands tourism industry far exceeds anything that Norway has to offer its also pretty obvious to anyone whose been to both countries who has the best agricultural potential

There are many great Scottish entrepreneurs but they wont be allowed to make money in Scotland so they will go elsewhere

During the German elections, one of the other parties paid for a poster suggesting people vote for the Bavarian Independence Party, which featured a rear view of two people in traditional dress walking off into a meadow together.

Perhaps we could repeat it here with kilts?
