"One of the difference between conservatives and socialists is that they dont pretend to be something they are not (caring of the poor)."

Sorry, but I think any of the current breed of Conservatives would say that you do not speak for THEM with a remark like that.

I'll check the Conservative manifesto. But I think that you will have to declare that as part of 'The Dodgy Manifesto' alone.

The conservatives believe in equal opportunities for all. They are pursuing welfare and education reforms to free the working classes and the poor from the appalling clutches of socialist institutions, something tthat Margaret Thatcher tried to do - fully opposed I will add by labour and the Trade Unions. Labour have had 13 years with untold spending power to improve the lives of those at the bottom end of the social scale. What have they achieved? nothing other than to employ more people in administering welfare and delivering appalling services. Their one truly driven representative - Frank Field has been sidelined.
What is worse are the middle class labour voters who ideologically support labour yet dont give a sh*t about what the labour run institutions deliver.
Labour are far more conservative and uncaring about social problems because they know that by keeping people poor and dependent upon the state they will keep winning votes and justifying their control over their instituitions.

Do you really think that any of our political parties have anything to do with either of the polarised ideologies you keep ranting on about?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I think it's all a load of bollocks.

There are some differences in policy but very little idealogical difference between this lot or the last lot, because the last lot copied this lot in order to get elected. This convergence is a natural state of affairs in a system which requires those seeking power to appeal to the general population.

As regards ideologies, neither cartoon socialism or cartoon conservatism (more properly called economic liberalism IMO) is workable in practice.

And your point is that this isn't possible?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Why on earth would anyone with a brain logically sustain an ideology that does not work unless they have another agenda?
                    This chap maybe?

and being Germans, they will probably pull it off too, and end up world leaders in manufacturing the parts and selling they rest of us poor scrotes electricity. Assuming they can keep terrorists and disgruntled African/Spanish/French hands off it.
