No, what you are saying is that it makes new borrowing more expensive. Existing debt is cheaper in real terms. But as I said, if incomes do not keep up with it, that does not make the debt easier to service. However, while debts become no easier to service, everything else becomes more expensive to buy. So debt becomes cheaper than everything else, regardless of what your income is. -
