      Not necessarily, if moneys owed I can find out just the same as an accountant, they might be able to do it a bit quicker but if I owe them money I am in no rush to pay them.

      Will have to wait till I get back home to see the letter and go through my old paperwork.

        Good grief, all this quibbling over a mere £90. Call yourself a contractor? Just send them a cheque, and damn their impudence!

        Oh and another benefit of having a reputable accountant is that it will save you endless hassle from HMR&C enquiries and investigations and so forth. To them, a contractor who does their own accounts is "outside the system" and as such highly suspect.
