Anyone care to hazard a guess why Amazon are selling the same model for £180 and £130, except the cheaper one is black and has a "Usually dispatched within" of "1 to 3 months" verses "In stock" for the more expensive white one?

Due to the lack of demand, I would be willing to accept really bad guesses.

White electronics are associated with that brand, you know the one, that idiots pay more for.

I'm a bit confused as to why anybody would want a 5" "MP3 player". Presumably it's a full Android device, so why not buy either a smaller phone, which is fine as an MP3 player, or a 7" tablet like the HTC?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I don't want a phone or anything smaller. 7" is too big for the pocket (ooh er).

It's a GPS, radio, smartphone without the phone, media player, computer.

Smart phones are too small now IMO, now that so much media, including Internet, is consumed by them and fingers so big in comparison to their minuscule screens. I'm hoping 5" is good for on the move and for tablety uses.

You must have bigger pockets than me.

The fact that they sell it as an "MP3 player" just shows they're a bit unsure as to what the market is for a 5" device.

I gather they have started selling 3 TB disks now, whereas 2 TB was the limit for a long time.

So that means my 4-bay disk pack could now hold 12 TB instead of a measly 8 TB. Bet it would cost a fair few bob though.

Are you talking about the Samsung Note? I thought that was a phone as well, kind of in between a phone and a tablet. I have the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is quite large and so far works fine for those day to day uses such as browsing the web, viewing streaming stuff and the occasional call.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Yeah, except I'm interested in the budget version for peasants:

                    Woo Hoo!

It's just dropped from £180 to £135!, but though it says in stock (5 left) is being sold by "Tribal UK".

Safe as buying through Amazon Direct?

Bought it. Now I need to decide what class of 16 GB Micros SDHC I need to buy. Hmm.
