Well it arrived extraordinarily quickly. All works fine as far as I can tell while its tethered to the mains. Manual says not to use it while on its first charge but who can resist playing with a new toy while it charges for hours?
Seems awesome. GPS, Compass, Camera, Video, Radio, Media Player, Internet, etc, all on a 5" screen. Sorry about you suckers still on 3.5"'s. One can download Google Map data for off-line use and I will give that a go outside later using the GPS alone, without a WiFi/Data connection. Android seems okay so far, although I do feel that any of these many Apps I have thus far downloaded could be doing any number of naughty things.

And now I'm constantly checking my email for a despatch notification, which usually occur way before Amazon predict when you buy. Until then I'll just have to settle with playing with my life sized paper cut-out. Wow, what a big 'screen'.Originally posted by VectraMan View Post55p per hour. Not the best rate.

£180 now. This thing changes price rapidly even within Amazon's own stock.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostNow £170 through Amazon. Looks like every now and then a third party seller puts a few up for sale for £135 and when they quickly sell out it's back to the more expensive Amazon direct price.

Nope, thats different to the Samsung Note as the Note is also a phone:
See here
That has a 5.3" screen but my Nexus has a 4.65" screen so not too much difference except mine has the Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) version of Android which is very nice, quite different to previous versions (and is very fast.)

Yeah, except I'm interested in the budget version for peasants:Originally posted by darmstadt View PostAre you talking about the Samsung Note? I thought that was a phone as well, kind of in between a phone and a tablet. I have the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is quite large and so far works fine for those day to day uses such as browsing the web, viewing streaming stuff and the occasional call.

Smart phones are too small now IMO, now that so much media, including Internet, is consumed by them and fingers so big in comparison to their minuscule screens. I'm hoping 5" is good for on the move and for tablety uses.

I gather they have started selling 3 TB disks now, whereas 2 TB was the limit for a long time.
So that means my 4-bay disk pack could now hold 12 TB instead of a measly 8 TB. Bet it would cost a fair few bob though.
