A packet of 5 Snickers are approaching £2 in Sainsbury's now, whereas a few months ago they were £1, admittedly on offer.

I've started getting Lidl's Mister Choco Peanut Choco instead of Snickers and they're pretty good, especially when a pack of 8 only costs 79p IIRC.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

There is no inflation unless wages also rise

I going to go there more often. I'll look out for Mister Choco Peanut Choco, 10p/bar does sound cheap.

Inflation is when prices on stuff you buy go up faster than your own wage.

                Tosh.

Inflation is an expansion in the supply of money and credit.

Nothing to do with prices or wages.

Apparently carrots are cheaper. Carrot soup, carrot roulade and carrot cake for the poor this year.

It depends on the context of what exactly is being inflated. In context of retail prices inflation means increase in said prices.

Normally majority of people would associate inflation with prices, if you are interested in the the expansion of the early universe, see Inflation (cosmology)..
